Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera by AUTOart

The original Gallardo, also made by AA, shined because it was a great model. The proportions and the simple-but-effective accuracy made it one of my all-time favorite models; I expected the same from the Superleggera.

The engine looks more or less the same (yes, in real life displacement increased slightly but could you really see that?)

The interior is different from the standard Gallardo, which is accurate, but then that's when the shortcomings become obvious. Look at that excess plastic at the left end of the dashboard, and the mold line that goes across it is an eyesore...

No problems with the carbon fiber representation; AA is pretty good at this area, anyway.

But then this is downright unforgivable:

There's no gear lever but yet AA decided to leave us a clutch pedal in there... just in case, right?

I have no issues with the exterior, which enables the Superleggera to display quite well in any of the 5 colors available; I'm just not happy with AA cutting corners, especially when all they had to do was pick up from where they left off with the standard Gallardo, which is brilliant by comparison.

I'll probably snip the excess pedal one of these days when I have time. Too busy nowadays...
