Lamborghini Urraco P250 by Kyosho

I was really excited to hear Kyosho had plans to make this model some time in late 2008. And when the first two colors came out - blue and red - I was underwhelmed and held off on buying one.

Earlier this year the green one came out but it wasn't exactly cheap. Luckily, a friend of mine alerted me of a good deal which I jumped on almost immediately.

Unlike my green Miura, I found the Urraco's shade of green very difficult to photograph. This is all I could manage...

Like all Kyosho releases, the Urraco is packed with detail and neat features. One thing that did bother me, though, was the way the seats felt, which is rubber-like; they're really easy to bend and, that in my opinion, give the model a slight cheap feel interior-wise.

The dashboard is one of the most detailed I've seen but I couldn't help but notice the excess glue residue on both sides of the windshield.

The engine does look dull but that was the case with the 1:1. Can't blame Kyosho for that.

I always give kudos for openings that can do their job, and that is to remain open. Just be careful not to try to open the trunk more or it will break.

Two more things that bothered me were:
1) The pop-ups springs are too stiff and cause the covers to not line up with the car evenly while they're down
(same case on the one I had to return prior to this one).
2) The front grill of the car, which, like the seats, is not very firm.

Apart from that, though, it's a great model and a handsome one at that. It's definitely a nice step outside the Miura/Countach/Diablo/Murcielago/Gallardo's box -- Not that I could call those ordinary, though!
